Athlete of the Month

CLIENT HIGHLIGHTS | MARCH 2024

We are celebrating an awesome pair of athletes this month. Celia Pellegrini and Sophia Reznik are committed to getting stronger, and they are enjoying the process. We all know that training is hard work, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be fun! Celia and Sophia work hard and stay consistent, and they are motivated to keep their progress going!

ASF CENTRAL: Celia Pellegrini

From Celia’s trainer, Niamh McWalter:

I’ve chosen Celia because she always comes in to the gym ready to WORK! Her personality and smile are infectious and even though she’s had some setbacks due to previous injuries, she makes training a priority and is willing to work hard! Bonus points for always making me laugh in our sessions.

Here’s what Celia had to say about training with Niamh:

What do you enjoy most about working with your trainer at ASF?
Training with Niamh has truly become a highlight and anchor in my week. On the good weeks and the bad, I always have these mornings to look forward to!

What have you been most proud of since you started training?
Finding the motivation to move again and getting strong again post a lifetime of soccer injuries!

What are you looking forward to?
Taking the consistency and habits I’ve learned with Niamh and applying them outside of the gym.

ASF SOUTH: Sophia Reznik

From Sophia’s trainer, Bailee Murray:

I chose Sophia as Athlete of the Month because of her perseverance to trust me and the fitness process in the midst of setbacks and her increasing commitment to her training and health. She is such a different athlete than she was when she started training with me in August. It is so rewarding to watch these characteristics pay off for her!

Here’s what Sophia thinks about her training:

What do you enjoy most about working with your trainer at ASF?
I enjoy that she knows how to push and encourage me without stressing me out. She makes me feel comfortable asking questions and gives me ideas for when I’m unable to make a session to keep up training at home. She is also very accommodating when I am injured or sore.

What have you been most proud of since you started training?
Knowing the amount of weight I am able to lift/bench/squat/etc. I never thought I would have any upper body strength so this has been exciting to watch my growth.

What are you looking forward to?
I’m looking forward to being more motivated to go to the gym on my own without fear. I started training because I did not know how to do or use anything so I’m happy that I’m going in the right direction!
