Athlete of the Month



This month, our athletes are all about competence and confidence! Christophe Cunha and Alexis Delgado have been making gains in both areas while training at ASF. Training consistently and with purpose and intensity, they have seen their strength and skills skyrocket. We are so proud of them!


ASF South: Christophe Cunha

From Chris’s trainer, Nicky Trbovich:

Chris truly deserves to be spotlighted this month. Every session, it is guaranteed he is going to push himself to the fullest extent. Even after an intense session, he comes to the next one ready to go, smiling the whole time. He never tries to take short cuts or cheat himself by taking an easy way out. Seriously, nothing can stop him. It’s been awesome watching his strength grow and I cannot wait to see where his fitness journey takes him. Great job Chris. Keep crushing it.

Here’s what Chris told us about training with Nicky:

What do you enjoy most about working with your trainer at ASF?
His ability to encourage me to give it my all. Nicky knows how to push me to make sure I’m giving it 100%. He is also the first one to celebrate any improvements I make.

What have you been most proud of since you started training?
There is a lot I’m proud of, being able to learn new exercises and show progress every week is a major accomplishment. However, if I were to pick one thing, it would be going from doing body weight squats to squatting over 100 lbs.

What are you looking forward to?
Starting to do exercises we have been building towards, including doing bench presses and back squats.



ASF Central: Alexis Delgado

From Alexis’s trainer, Brendan Morr:

I chose Alexis for Athlete of the Month because she’s been working hard since starting training and she deserves the recognition of her hard work. Alexis has grown stronger and I’m proud of her. We’ve been using the pendulum squat machine a bit more this cycle and her barbell squat has improved. I noticed Alexis’s confidence has grown and am proud to continue to see her work hard when she’s under the squat bar.

Alexis told us about her experience with Brendan:

What do you enjoy most about working with your trainer at ASF?
Having Brendan as my personal trainer has been a game-changer! His constant positive energy makes our sessions genuinely fun. He does a great job of pushing me on high-energy days and accommodating me when my energy is low. Brendan not only challenges me but also tailors the workouts to align with my fitness goals, offering continuous encouragement and support throughout each session. Working with Brendan has been a great experience, as he ensures I leave each workout feeling positive and proud of my progress. I couldn’t have chosen a better gym or trainer!

What have you been most proud of since you started training?
I am most proud of my consistency since starting my training at ASF and the improvements I’ve seen in my strength, energy levels, and overall well-being. Prior to training, staying on track at the gym was a struggle, often feeling lost and unsure what to do. Now, all I need to do is show up, and a customized workout plan is set for me, making it easy to stay consistent and work toward my fitness goals each week.

What are you looking forward to?
I am excited to see where I’ll be a year from now, especially as I look forward to building more muscle.
