ASF Student Athlete Scholarship Fund
The Austin Simply Fit (ASF) Student Athlete Scholarship Fund has been established in honor of a late ASF team member, Coach DJ Cedent. DJ passed away of sickle cell disease in 2019. He was devoted to the development of all athletes he coached, and we know he would be proud that his legacy offers support to rising student athletes.
Each year, Austin Simply Fit hosts a Bench-A-Thon event to convene the community and raise money to support a cause. Over the years, this event has raised thousands of dollars to support the Sickle Cell Association of Texas and community members directly. In fact, in its first year, funds raised from the event went directly to help Coach DJ with his medical expenses.
Now, we are taking this community effort to the next level and using the money from the fundraiser to support AISD student athletes who have plans to go to college.

We can really see a difference in our strength. Our personal trainer pushes us, but always makes sure to keep an eye on our form, which I really appreciate.
