When and why did you come to Austin?
Austin is my hometown, I left for school and the military and just recently returned.
What is your background? How did you get into personal training?
I have a broad background. I played football in college and later joined the Army, working in rehab to help soldiers and civilians regain their independence. Helping people has always been a strong motivator for me, so I decided to continue that path as a personal trainer.
Tell us about your current fitness goals and training
I am currently preparing for my first classic physique bodybuilding show.
What is the most common fitness myth you work through with your clients?
Doing nothing to recover – if you are stiff, move more not less. Embrace the lifestyle, get active.
What do you want your clients to take away from each training session with you?
Proper technique, and a basic understanding of workout design. I aim for all of my clients to fly the nest someday and want them to do so safely and effectively.
What sets you apart from other fitness professionals?
I empower my clients to live a healthier lifestyle, to be the health advocate and guru for their friends and family.
What is your favorite thing about Austin Simply Fit?
Easily the trainers. The diversity of experience is a wealth of knowledge for me.
