Reva has been nominated for Athlete of the Month by her trainers, Mark and Lucas, because she brings her A-game to every training session. Since joining Austin Simply Fit in May 2017 she has lost 4% body fat, gained 6 lbs of muscle and lost 5lbs of body fat. (How cool is that?)
Lucas told us, “In a very short time, Reva mastered body weight movement which allowed us to progress quickly toward her goal of barbell movements with squats and deadlifts.”
How long have you been working out at ASF?
I’ve been working out at ASF for four months.
Why did you decide to join ASF?
I joined ASF because of its personal training program and my love for lifting.
What were your goals when you started?
My goals were to build muscle while reducing body fat.
How close are you to meeting them?
I’m happy that I met those goals.
What challenges have you had to overcome, if any, since starting out at ASF?
Timing my meals and eating enough protein to support my workouts were challenges I overcame with Lucas’ help. It took some trial and error to find a balance that worked for me.
What is it about Lucas/ASF that keeps you coming back?
Working with Lucas has been great. He designed a training program for me that’s intense and challenging, and by putting in hard work and grinding through it, I feel and see the results. Thank you, Lucas! I feel awesome after every workout!
What are your goals & plans for the future at ASF?
My new goals are to continue fine-tuning my lifting technique and increasing my PRs.
What is your favorite food?
Even though I have a strict food program, I give myself opportunities to splurge on my favorite food, chocolate.
Any advice you’d share with a newcomer to ASF?
To ASF newcomers or anyone thinking about trying ASF, just do it. The coaches are friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable. Trust them and follow their coaching, and you’ll meet your goals in no time. Don’t worry about your skill level because the training program is your training program, tailored to what works best for you.
