What is your background? How did you get into personal training?
My not-so-villain origin story begins with grief, change, and movement.

A week before moving to the United States, I experienced the loss of someone close to me. As a young person, I struggled to process that grief and found myself disconnected from who I was. Movement became one of the few things I could control. It helped me reconnect with my body, rebuild confidence, and find stability during a difficult season of life.

That experience showed me how powerful movement can be—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. Personal training became a way to help others experience that same transformation. I love helping people move out of pain, build trust in themselves, and discover what they’re capable of both inside and outside the gym.

Tell us about your current fitness goals and training.
Right now, I’m focused on improving my own movement quality, addressing imbalances, and continuing to refine how I recruit and coordinate different muscle groups. I love dancing, so I’m especially interested in mobility, motor control, and building strength that feels natural and effortless. I enjoy learning how the body works and using that knowledge to move better every day.

What is the most common fitness myth you work through with your clients?
“If I’m not sweating, I’m not accomplishing anything.”

Sweating can be a great byproduct of exercise, but it isn’t always a measure of progress. Strength gains, improved movement quality, better balance, and healthier movement patterns can all happen without leaving the gym drenched. Sometimes the most impactful work is learning how to move well and recruit the right muscles efficiently.

What do you want your clients to take away from each training session with you?
I want every client to leave knowing that they are already enough.

Yes, we’re here to improve, get stronger, and work on weaknesses—but growth doesn’t require self-criticism. I want clients to feel seen, supported, and comfortable being honest about how they’re feeling. When we understand where you are today, we can build resilience and make meaningful progress together.

What sets you apart from other fitness professionals?
I genuinely care about what’s happening in your life outside the gym.

Fitness doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Stress, relationships, work, sleep, nutrition and life experiences all affect how we move and feel. My goal is to create an environment where people feel heard, respected, and empowered. I want clients to know they matter, and sometimes the most important thing I can do is reflect that back to them.

Favorite quote?
“How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.” — Desmond Tutu

I love this quote because it reminds us that meaningful change doesn’t happen all at once. The strongest bodies, healthiest habits, and biggest goals are built through small, consistent actions over time.

Who is your hero and why?
Nelson Mandela.

After spending 27 years imprisoned on Robben Island, he emerged with a vision that helped unite South Africa. What was meant to break him ultimately helped shape his purpose. His story reminds me that adversity can become a source of wisdom, clarity, and purpose—and that resilience isn’t about avoiding hardship, but growing through it.
