Hometown: Austin, Texas
When and why did you come to Austin?
Born and raised here.
What is your background? How did you get into personal training?
I attended Texas State University and earned a Bachelors in Exercise and Sports Science. I played baseball for Ranger College Baseball, did Olympic Lifting for 2 ½ years, and played football and baseball in high school.
After graduating I began working at Gold’s Gym as a Front Desk Associate and decided to give personal training a shot. I appreciated the rewarding feeling of guiding people to improve their wellbeing by helping them recognize that changing the daily choices they made can change bad habits affecting their mind, body, and overall strength.
I have been personal training for about 15 years now and have experience working with a wide age range of clients, from young kids to the older populations with all levels of training, from having minimal to no training experience to more advanced training experience.
Tell us about your current fitness goals and training.
After pivoting into the Tech Industry for the past three years due to Covid and sitting all day in front of a screen, my current goal is to get back into a consistent training routine, stay disciplined, and start moving!
What is the most common fitness myth you work through with your clients?
Losing fat in specific areas.
What do you want your clients to take away from each training session with you?
It takes time, effort, and discipline to reach your goals.
What sets you apart from other fitness professionals?
I keep it real, I keep it fun, and focus on progress over perfection. I will meet you at your fitness level whether you’re a beginner, athlete, or wanting to get back to it, with good energy and results.
