Congratulations to our recently engaged Client Highlights, Callie Flanagan and Will Malm! This power couple brings positivity to the gym every single day and meets every challenge head-on. We’re so excited to cheer for them as they step into this new chapter together in strength and health!
ATHLETES OF THE MONTH: Callie Flanagan and William Malm
Here’s what Callie and Will’s trainer Vilita had to say about them:
As the sun rises and we are downing our caffeine du jour, I have clients walking in ready to take on the curriculum I have crafted. Like most of us, sometimes Callie and Will show up tired, sometimes they show up well rested, but they always show up with positive energy and willingness to try. I appreciate the trust they have bestowed upon me. I’m thankful they recognize there’s a method to my madness.
When they are waiting in the wings ready to get the session started, I already know the next 30 minutes with them will fly by, filled with good energy and high productivity. They are a pleasure to work with. I’m elated that this power couple is newly engaged and I get to help them get fitter and even more fabulous in time for their wedding. Their can-do attitude is infectious and I’m proud to be their coach.
Here’s Callie and Will told us about their time with Vilita:
What do you enjoy most about working with your trainer at ASF? Vilita takes time to get to know us well – both in the gym and in our personal lives. Because of this, she hits the perfect balance between cheerleading and challenging us to push our limits. Even on the days when we’re struggling she knows how to find a win, big or small.
What have you been most proud of since you started training? Will – Before working with Vilita I hesitated to do any kind of squats as I was worried about my back and knees. Now I feel great when I’m lifting heavy items (we just moved a few months ago, no back pain!) and getting low to play with our dog, Bernie.
Callie – When I first started working out with Vilita at ASF, I couldn’t always finish my workouts from fatigue. Now, I’m strong enough to consistently finish all the exercises and know when I’m ready to lift heavier or longer, something I used to avoid. I also now have the mental strength to push through a challenging workout and feel proud at the end.
What are you looking forward to? Will – I’m looking forward to regularly hitting new personal records on a more regular basis, especially on the chest press.
Callie – I’m looking forward to my 5th year of working out with Vilita and continuing to get stronger, especially being able to show off at our upcoming wedding!
