Frequently Asked Questions

Multi-client personal training at Austin Simply Fit is a semi-private training format where two or three people train together in a 30-minute session with a single certified personal trainer. Unlike group fitness classes, each person in the session receives their own individualized program designed around their specific goals — you’re just doing it side by side with a partner or friend. It’s ideal for couples, close friends, or family members who want the motivation of training together without sacrificing personalized coaching.

Multi-client training at ASF is fundamentally different from a group fitness class. In a group class, everyone follows the same workout. At ASF, although clients in a multi-client session are following a similar program, the trainer will adjust load as needed, providing progressions or regressions as needed. The trainer’s attention stays closely on the small group — typically two to three people — making it much more like personal training than a class environment.

Getting started is free. New clients receive a complimentary one-hour consultation, a structural balance assessment, and a body composition analysis — for each person in the group. From there, your trainer designs a customized program and you begin your regular training schedule. Most multi-client clients train two to three times per week, and sessions are sold individually or in packages of 5, 10, or 20 — no memberships or long-term contracts required.

Yes, and it’s actually very common. ASF coaches are trained to apply progressions and regressions to every movement, so each person is appropriately challenged even when training side by side. One partner might be lifting heavier, using a different variation, or working toward a different goal entirely — and the session is structured to accommodate that. Both people leave feeling challenged and coached, not like one person held the other back.

Life happens. If one person in your training group can’t attend a scheduled session, the other client can purchase individual one-on-one sessions to use when they’re training solo. This way you’re never stuck waiting on your partner to get back in the gym and your progress stays on track.

Multi-client sessions are capped at three clients. This intentionally small group size allows the trainer to closely monitor form, make real-time adjustments, and give each person meaningful coaching attention throughout the session — something that’s impossible in larger group settings.

I love working with Kristal Espitia! She's the best! She's always happy to see me and makes me actually want to come to the gym. Kristal plans workouts that are challenging but not impossible to do. She always checks in with me before, during and after workouts to make sure that I'm feeling okay.
