When and why did you come to Austin?
I moved to Austin in February 2020 after spending the last nine years in New York City. I was in search of a slightly slower pace of life and Austin ticked all the boxes!
What is your background? How did you get into nutrition?
My background is in fitness and movement, but after years of being sick, dealing with gut and skin issues and tons of anxiety, I decided to take my health into my own hands and educate myself on nutrition, gut health, and hormone health. This led me down the road to becoming a Certified Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and Restorative Wellness Practitioner. Now my passion is to empower my clients to empower themselves! Tell us about your current fitness goals and training.
My goals with training have shifted many times over the years. Right now, my biggest focus is longevity. I’m taking a well rounded approach to my fitness that includes weightlifting, bodyweight gymnastics, aerobic capacity, and throwing in different things to change it up like yoga, pilates, and hiking.
What is one of the most common nutrition myths you work through with your clients?
There are so many nutrition myths out there, but a big one I work with often is that health is all about ‘calories in vs calories out.’ The truth is, calories are just one piece of the puzzle. When we shift away from that approach and turn our focus to nourishment, that’s when we see real, sustainable change take place.

What do you want your clients to take away from working with you?
I believe every person has the right to know what their body and mind are capable of. I want my clients to know that they have the power to take control of their own health. I believe people should be thriving, not just getting by.
What sets you apart from other nutrition professionals?
I believe in the approach of “test, don’t guess” and am certified to use functional lab testing in my practice. I do not diagnose or treat disease, but rather use these lab results to determine deficiencies, guide our work and help get to the root cause of stubborn health issues. Find out more here.

The entire crew is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and passionate about changing lives!
How do you, personally, define success?
Success is defined by measuring backwards. If we focus on steadily becoming better than we were yesterday, that is success.
