Jay Gonzales

Jay is a Certified Personal Trainer at Austin Simply Fit. Born and raised in Texas, he grew up in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, where he found fitness through competitive sports before going on to play collegiate baseball at Midland College and Angelo State University. During his time playing college baseball, Jay played in two NJCAA World Series (13′-14′) along with a NCAA DII World Series (16′) appearance at Angelo State.

His background is in sports performance where he’s had experience with Strength and Conditioning programs during his athletic career, while also landing internships with the University of North Texas and the University of Texas Football team. He brings his experiences, knowledge, and philosophy from the athletes he’s worked with over to the general population to help clients achieve the same goals they desire with health and fitness.

Jay’s hobbies are still staying active by training in the weight room, continuing self-education in fitness/sports performance, exploring Austin, TX, and spending time with family and friends.
