Athlete of the Month

CLIENT HIGHLIGHTS | JULY 2023

As everyone at ASF knows, we are all about the basics – building quality movement and foundational strength as a baseline before we crank up the difficulty and weight. This month’s athletes, Davíd Darmoni and Traci Garner, have shown up, week after week, to build their foundations, and now they are ready for the real fun. They love the push from their trainers as they increase the intensity and see their strength skyrocket. We are so proud of Davíd and Traci and we look forward to seeing all they will accomplish in the future!

ASF Central: Davíd Darmoni

From Davíd’s trainer, Quintin Hinojosa:

Davíd was one of my first clients here at ASF, and from the get-go I knew he was going to see progress. His attitude towards achieving his goals provides our sessions with the best kind of energy. He works hard and is always ready for a challenge! And he recently hit a 200 lb bench PR!

Here’s what Davíd had to say about training with Quintin:

What do you enjoy most about training with your trainer/at ASF?
Really appreciate how Quintin pushes me. We have a plan, he understands that I’m there to work, and push myself. He’s been an integral part of the process, keeping me accountable and consistent.

What have you been most proud of since you started training?
I’ve been able to make steady progress. I can look back week over week, and see that I’m improving. See that I’m able to do more, go further, push myself a little more; it’s been fun.

What are you looking forward to?
To continue that improvement. Every session I want to get a little bit better, to do a little more weight, to be a little more clean on my technique. I want to continue to push myself, and continue to make progress.

ASF South: Traci Garner

From Traci’s trainer, KT Stemper:

Traci is so fun to train! She loves to push hard and try new challenges. I don’t think I’ve ever heard her say “no” or “I can’t” to anything I put in front of her! Though we have a bit of a sassy back and forth during our sessions, I know I can always trust her to focus and do what I ask when the time comes. Traci is very engaged in her own health and often comes to the session with new information on fitness or nutrition trends, which creates a fun dialogue. She is very open minded and is willing to have her beliefs challenged.

Traci let us know how she feels about her training:

What do you enjoy most about training with your trainer/at ASF?
The accountability Kate holds me to – with showing up physically and mentally. And the fact that she puts up with me!

What have you been most proud of since you started training?
That I am in better shape than I was 20 years ago! Thank you Kate – your experience and continued education has become my success.

What are you looking forward to?
Continuing to improve – in all ways!
