How would you describe what it’s like to train with you?
My sessions are goal driven, educational, and hard core… mixed with fun and laughter!
What is your greatest personal health triumph?
In 2012, I started becoming unwell and went through several avenues to find answers. I went from being in the best shape of my life to struggling to function in daily life. I refused to accept that everything from my blood work was with in normal limits, as I knew my body. Finally after 2.5 years, I was diagnosed with autoimmune issues due to metal toxicity. My thyroid, hormones, and neurotransmitters were shot. Since that time I worked with a wellness practitioner and am back to being my old self. I feel this is my biggest triumph as I gained perspective of what other people may have to live with, and how challenging it can be to stay motivated. The journey with my health changed me for the better. I learned a ton and now know personally what it is like to get fit again.
What do you love about your job?
Motivating, educating and being a source of support to an individual during their fitness journey is a privilege and joy to be a part of. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing the face of a person when they achieve their goals. That is my absolute favorite part of being a trainer; I am often more excited than they are!
What is your competitive background?
4 marathons. Best marathon time 3:43. 12 half marathons, best time 1:40
What are your favorite things to do around town?
Live music, vintage & vinyl shopping, checking out fun new food trucks and restaurants.
How do you spend your free time?
Hiking, outdoor road cycling, wake surfing, gardening/landscaping, furniture up-cycling, creative healthful cooking.
